FAQ's
Covers policies for virtual groups, participant registration, scholarships, insurance coverage, and multi-course leadership
General FAQs:
- Field Guides: For MR/FRR: primary leader/hosting location must cover cost for field guides (participants in these demographics should not pay.) Leaders can pay for the cost, find a sponsor, request grant funding or do leader fundraisers/Facebook fundraisers. For TR: primary leaders may choose to have participants pay for their field guides or use the same funding sources listed above.
- Virtual Groups: Leaders may choose to lead a virtual group at their discretion. Virtual course group leaders must go through virtual course training in addition to REBOOT Leader’s Academy.
- Leading more than one course: We do not recommend new leaders to lead more than one course due to the time-commitment and experience required. Seasoned leaders may lead more than one course at a time but should notify their Community Coach of each course rotation.
- Do all participants have to register for a course on the REBOOT Recovery website or can we have participants register through our church website?
-
- We understand that many churches manage small group registrations through their own websites to keep their process consistent for church members.
- If you offer a REBOOT course and want participants to register through your website, we still ask that you let us know about your course by submitting an intake form and that you advise course participants to register at rebootrecovery.com/join. This will ensure that all course participants receive access to the MyREBOOT online platform which includes all of our course content and MidWeek Check-Ins and that participants can stay connected with REBOOT Recovery after graduation.
- By submitting an intake form and listing the course on our website, it also ensures that people looking for a course who do not attend your congregation are able to find the course and attend.
-
-
- During week 1, participants are walked though creating a MyREBOOT account. Be sure to emphasize that step.
-
- Funding Courses:
- Leader fundraisers are held two times a year: January and June. Leaders may offer their connections an opportunity to contribute to course costs with a tax-deductible donation. Links to be sent out during the leader fundraisers.
- Scholarships:
- HQ sometimes receives grant funding from foundations. When funding is available, REBOOT can provide scholarships for groups if the cost of leading is a barrier. Leaders may complete the Scholarship Request Form to request funding to cover the cost of outreach materials, meals, childcare, LeaderPass, participant guides, Healing What’s Hidden books, grad certificates and/or t-shirts.
- We use discretion when we scholarship first-time leaders but reserve most of our scholarships for seasoned leaders experiencing financial hardship or to be a blessing to repeat leaders.
- Research-Based/Evidence-Based & Outcomes-Driven:
- REBOOT is research-based and outcomes-driven.
- In partnership with the University of Illinois, REBOOT runs ongoing quantitative and qualitative studies to measure our programs' effectiveness. REBOOT published 5 articles over the last 4 years in scientific journals (with 2 manuscripts currently under review).
- REBOOT also has a web page summarizing our outcomes and sharing the abstracts of all our papers, including the qualitative outcomes.
- Insurance Coverage:
-
- REBOOT maintains a Commercial General Liability (CGL) insurance policy that may provide coverage for certain claims involving bodily injury or property damage arising out of covered ministry activities, subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions, and limits of the policy. When applicable, the policy may also provide for legal defense of covered claims. Coverage is not automatic for all individuals, locations, or circumstances, and applicability depends on how the policy defines insured parties and covered “occurrences.” Leaders and host locations are encouraged to maintain their own insurance coverage to reduce overall risk exposure.
- In-Kind Donation Form:
- The in-kind donation form is located here. Leaders can provide the in-kind donation form to any business who donates meals or other supplies for their course.
