Time off & Leave Benefits
PERSONAL or SICK
REBOOT Recovery values rest, health, and personal well-being. Full-time employees receive Paid Time Off (PTO) for vacation and personal needs, and separate Sick Leave for illness or medical appointments. All time off is tracked in a centralized HR spreadsheet.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
Full-time employees are eligible for PTO upon hire or transfer into a full-time role. Employees working fewer than 40 hours per week are not eligible.
Annual PTO allotment (granted January 1):
- 0–3 years of service: 10 days (2 weeks)
- Beginning of 4th year: 15 days (3 weeks)
- Beginning of 6th year: 20 days (4 weeks)
PTO is tracked in days and half-days.
Mid-Year Hires: PTO is prorated based on full months remaining in the year and becomes available on the first of the month after completing 30 days of employment.
Mid-Year Anniversaries: Employees reaching their 3rd or 5th anniversary mid-year receive a prorated increase for the remainder of the year; the full increased amount begins the following January.
Use It or Lose It: PTO must be used within the calendar year. It does not roll over and is not paid out upon termination. Employees may not take additional PTO after submitting resignation.
Sick Leave
Full-time employees receive 5 sick days per calendar year, granted January 1.
Sick Leave may be used for:
- Personal illness
- Medical appointments
- Caring for an immediate family member
Sick days do not roll over, are not paid out at separation, and cannot be converted to PTO. Sick Leave for mid-year hires is prorated based on months remaining in the year.
Bereavement Leave
- Up to 3 paid days for the loss of an immediate family member (spouse, parent, stepparent, child, stepchild, sibling, grandparent, or grandchild).
- 1 paid day for a non-immediate family member (e.g., aunt, uncle, cousin, close friend).
Additional PTO may be requested with supervisor approval.
Requesting Time Off
Employees must email their direct supervisor and hr@rebootrecovery.com to request PTO or Sick Leave. PTO must be requested at least two weeks in advance. Unexpected illnesses should be reported as soon as possible. Supervisor approval is required before PTO may be taken.
FMLA Eligibility
Due to the size of our organization, REBOOT Recovery is not eligible for the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA), which applies only to employers with 50 or more employees.
MATERNITY and PATERNITY
12 weeks (6 weeks paid and 6 weeks unpaid) leave are available for maternity and 14 days paid leave for paternity.
